Kinda amazes me how 2017 is nearly half gone. Stumbling around in a creative daze is no joke.
Finished two illustrations for book covers in the last three weeks:
I’m also playing around with the cover for the eventual re-release of Good As Dead:
Aaaaand I still have to pull together the print cover for the omnibus of Wolf’s Wife and Wolf’s Bane.
And that’s just the art. The truth is, there’s always too much to do when you’re trying to make a career out of this shit. Being an illustrator + author combo? Yeah, free time goes out the window. I love it and wouldn’t swap it for anything, but sometimes I have to scratch out a few hours of pure play to avoid burnout.
Thus, this evening I *didn’t* write but instead watched a movie with my gentleman lover: What We Do in the Shadows, which is a vampire/werewolf movie that he thought I’d enjoy. And I fucking LOVED it. It’s weird, goofy, bloody, and strangely sweet.
Tomorrow, it’s back to the grind.
